Full Day Safari Tour

The full day tour from morning to evening

  • Early morning 5 am :   Start    in safari jeep from Tree Tops Jungle Lodge
  • Enter Yala via Katagamuwa, a northern ‘back-side’ entrance into Block 01
  • Transfer time is around 85 minutes
  • The transfer is a pleasant drive through interesting landscapes. About 18 km of the transfer on a road inside Yala (crossing block 3, 4, 5)
  • Inside Yala Block 1: roughly 6.25 am – 5.20 pm (timing is flexible, optional to return earlier)
  • Return home to camp around 6.45 pm, in time for refreshments before dinner
  • Jeep custom made for safari, with front facing seats
  • Experienced safari driver, who is simultaneously driving and tracking
  • We’ll explore small side roads ( not only driving on the main roads )
  • Onboard : Home-cooked picnic meals; - breakfast and lunch - bottled water, soft drinks, tea/coffee, biscuits – all needs for the whole day.
  • Tips for a compulsory government Wildlife Department tracker joining the jeep (Rupees 2500)
  • All government tickets, entrance fees, taxes
